What's the campus politics scene at Engineering Colleges?

I'm hoping to join for B Tech via Keam. Heard politics is quite common throughout the state. Need some advices on how to go on about it. I'm sorta skeptical about it. Partly being a cbse kid I'm already speculating special consideration when it comes to ragging.

edit: In Government Colleges y'all!

I am a startup founder looking to hire developers from Kerala. How can I target talented folks from here ?

I am looking to hire remote developers for my startup. I am looking for folks in their final year to 1-2 years of professional experience. I am a malayalee and have done my undergrad outside of Kerala and have lived outside India for most of my working career. Is there any job board specifically for Kerala ? Can someone help me access to college networks etc ? The motivation is to reduce cost of course, but I also feel folks might not have exposure to product startup opportunities as well and we might be helping them out with some exposure.

Edit: I guess a lot of people got triggered by the post. Ofcourse I am going to pay salaries and even equities.. Cost of living in kerala is lower than bangalore. I was not intending this as a job post.just looking for the right forums for early career folks in kerala.

Edit: I am paying upto 24 lpa.

Why so many Malayalis studying abroad?

If we see from last 3-4 years, we can see a lot of Malayalis going abroad ( UK, US, etc) for Masters and Bachelors. How many of them really know it's not all roses abroad , esp. post education and for jobs. How prepared are these students?

A weird thing happened to me at church

I was in church today, attending a holy mass. I was sitting on a bench outside the church. A blind guy was also on the bench. I was sitting at one end, and he was sitting at the other end. When the holy mass was progressing, he came to my end and placed his hand on my lap. I didn't know what to do at that time. Then he searched for my hand took it, held it, and forcefully started scratching his palm with my hand. I didn't know what to do. He said, "Ingane cheyyamo, enikk ingane cheyyan ishtaman."

I was afraid and started doing it for 2 seconds and stopped and then he started to pinch my palm and said "ithupole cheyyamo ithu enikk cheyyan ishtaman." I forcefully took my hand from his hand, and then he said, "Ithoke thamshakkale, ninakku thamasha ishtalle," and I said no. He then asked me about my name and my family, and he told me he was blind. Then he started to ask me, "Ithoke veetil parayuvo." He also asked me to accompany him to a bathroom and stay there till he's finished. Then I said, "Chetta kurbana kazhiatte." After the kurbana, I left without saying a word. I couldn't even sit comfortably, as he was sitting so close to me when the whole bench was free. This whole conversation is happening in between the holy masses.

Kerala media and the BJP Vote share.

My opinion - BJP faces, and BJP narratives has become a regular presence in our household primetime only recently. Otherwise, they would come in only once in a while, when there was an issue in which BJP's pov had some relevance.

BJP winning TCR would not have been possible without the media - Manorama, Mathrubhumi, Reporter, News24, Asianet News - bringing them in to every prime-time debate.

Couple this with the massive right winging in the social media, I am sure there will be more seats for BJP in the LSG and Assembly elections coming up. We have lost it, thanks to the media Mamas.

Police and elder citizen power in kerala

I (M21) a degree student .
My family had problems from the very beginning of my parents marriage. My mother had some gold and my grandmother somehow took that and brought some land (My mother is not well educated and a "pavam" back then ). Thats the reason for everything.

My grandmother is the biggest manipulator i have ever seen in my life. She manipulated my father and she made my father and mother fight.
After everything she did she act like a pavam infront of others. So that everyone thinks she is and make my mother a villain impression.
My father is not taking care of us for a long time.
My mother is taking care of us (financially). She is struggling to feed us ( i have 2 siblings, both are F).She is in debt(its for my and sister education ).

Today my mother got out of control( cos she stuggling to feed us while my grandmother eating hotel food infront of her ). She got angry and i pull her back.
My grandmother cried aloud for a10 second and make some shows to the neighbors and stop everything like nothing ever happend. And she complained to the police that my mother tries to kill her.
Thats not the best part, the police came after some time and said that she can do whatever the fuck she can cos the land and house is in her name. And he said we have to move from there.

The police man asked me : " what do u wanna say about it " i said the facts that she used to call me bad words and bribe me to support her. Fun fact is the police said i have no loka vivaram that y i am saying that ( for the information i am a degree student who go for daily wage work in free time, its "ashari pani" so i worked in so many houses ).
And when i said that he turnoff me and he started talking that we are the problem and she is innocent .

This is where we live people .This is y everyone is leaving this fucking place.
